Chinese Buy French Wine
Published by Dan | Filed under International Economy
Chinese are not only wine importers anymore; they want to be producers too. Wanting to compete against renowned wine experts nations like France… big challenge eh? We can’t say that they are doing things halfway. Indeed, Chinese Longhai International society preempted a Luxembourg contest, a Belgium investor and a Maltese owner with this higher offer: 2,965,000$. Yep, that’s the amount the Chinese invested for Latour-Lagens castle. This is the first castle bought by Chinese in the history of France.

This Chinese group was not only charmed by the 500-years-old magnificent Walt Disney type castle, their main purpose was to enter the high quality Bordeaux wine market at a strategic moment: when the market is at the floor price.
Also a great timing with the Olympics Games coming this summer, many advertising spots are already been booked on main Chinese TV chains.
Did you know that the exportations of Bordeaux wine to China are on a 100% growth rate annually? No need to tell you to watch closely this Longhai International group.

Maybe the castle could be a good place to lock up Tibetan protesters.
